  24. Like FTP, SSL/TLS, Kerberos, SRP, and other recent additions, IKSD has not
  25. been implemented in VMS C-Kermit due to lack of VMS programmers who are
  26. both willing and able to do the work.  In the case of IKSD, the main task
  27. would be to write code to authenticate against the VMS user database.  If
  28. secure connections were desired, it would also be necessary to adapt one
  29. or more of the aforementioned security methods from the Unix version.  At
  30. least in the case of SSL/TLS, this might not be so difficult since the
  31. OpenSSL library is already available for VMS; the code to use it would
  32. have to be ported from the Unix-specific modules to the VMS-specific ones.
